Acoustic Leak Detection

We identify leak through acoustic listening. An acoustic leak noise is generated when liquid escape from the pressurized pipeline. The leak noise will travel down the entire length of the pipe and can be picked up easily using an electronic listening stick, geophone or acoustic leak noise accelerometer.

Correlation

Audio post processing (gain & filtration) is performed on the audio file and measurement is done. Correlation is the comparison of both audio files recorded at the exact timing. We will be able to identify the leakage spot

In-line Pipe Leak Survey

For non-metallic pipe or leak confirmation, we use an in-line CCTV and/or hydrophone which can be introduced into the pressurized pipeline without any service disruption. This will allow us to 'hear' and 'see' the exact leakage spot.
